MANAGER Lee Bradbury has admitted he could look to loan out more of Cherries’ squad men in a bid to enhance their fitness and experience.

Bradbury has no fewer than 34 names on his playing staff after recently signing a number of new additions.

The arrivals of Simon Francis, Charlie Sheringham and Wes Fogden bolstered the Seward Stadium resources, while Steve Cook and Jaime Peters were also drafted in on short-term loan deals.

Despite some of his stars being confined to the treatment room, Bradbury has not been short of options due to the numbers at his disposal.

He opted to give young striker Jayden Stockley a chance to gain valuable Football League experience by loaning the homegrown talent to Accrington Stanley earlier this month.

And Bradbury is refusing to rule out doing the same with some of Cherries’ other fringe players as he ponders the possibility of shuffling his pack ahead of the deadline for emergency loan deals on November 24.

“There are a couple that we might look at to try to get some minutes,” he said when discussing the topic in an interview with the Daily Echo.

“I need to get the lads minutes. If they can’t get it here and if it is okay and it doesn’t leave me short, then I would let them go out on loan – no problem.

“A league club would be a lot better. If the younger lads or even the lads that are 21 or 22 and need to play could get league experience, it would be an opportunity for them to go and play in front of a crowd and to play a decent standard. If I can do that, I will.”

As well as Stockley, goalkeeper Dan Thomas and defender Mitchell Nelson are currently enjoying temporary spells at Welling and Lincoln respectively, with Nelson’s deal yesterday extended. Paddy Hester (Bashley) and Gary Bowles (Dorchester) involved on the local non-league scene.

First-year professionals Alex Parsons and Dan Strugnell last week completed their three-month loans in the Southern League with Wimborne Town.

With the Football Combination Southern Section reserve league featuring just six teams this term, Bradbury admitted it was important to consider other ways of getting game-time for his players.

He added: “There are not enough games in the reserve league at this moment in time. The games are all in little groups through the season.

“We have to organise games behind closed doors to try to get the lads minutes. But at this moment in time, we have got so many injuries that we haven’t been able to do that.”

Meanwhile, Daily Echo sources suggest Mark Robson could be on the shortlist for the Cherries assistant manager’s job.

Robson has previously held coaching positions at clubs including Charlton Athletic and Gillingham.
