Division Two champions Swim Bournemouth B – denied promotion last year due to rules relating to club mergers – are on course to go up for real this time following a second round victory at Millfield.

They lie second in the table, 21 gala points behind Swindon Dolphin and 107 ahead of Tornadoes of South Dorset with all three unbeaten and three promotion places on offer.

Danielle Thwaites provided two of Bournemouth’s 15 wins, taking the open and 15/u 100m butterfly.

Other individual winners were 13/u swimmers Jess Brunyee in the 50m freestyle and Dan Trickett in the 50m butterfly, Jaz Hepburn in the 15/u 100m freestyle and open swimmers Luke Ragget (100m butterfly), Jamie Gray (100m backstroke) and Africa Mason (100m freestyle).

Bournemouth also won seven relays.

• In Division Three, George Robson and Olivia Hunter were both race winners for Wareham at Horfield, Bristol.

Robson won the boys’ 11/u 50m breaststroke in 48.87 and Hunter the girls’ 13/u 50m breaststroke in 41.97.
