COACH David Dunn will resist the temptation to tinker with his unbeaten Lions charges when the National Three South West league leaders take on basement boys Bridgwater & Albion at Chapel Gate tomorrow.

The Somerset outfit have lost all nine of their opening league games this season and have leaked 400 points in the process.

That is in stark contrast to Dunn’s men, who lead the standings by two points from fellow unbeaten side Chinnor.

But with Lions due to visit Oxon a week tomorrow for a clash that could all but decide the sole automatic promotion spot, Dunn has insisted he will stick with his strongest one-to-15.

Dunn, whose squad enjoyed a free weekend on Saturday, told the Echo: “We think that momentum is important and we have been working on a couple of things in training. We have a cup game coming up in a few weeks and that will be an opportunity to experiment with the line-up.

“We need to work on several things tomorrow that could be important against Chinnor the following week so we will be at full strength for the Bridgwater game.

“We are very confident on our own patch and we’re scoring tries freely so I don’t think we have anything to fear.

“We just have to implement the game-plan the way we want to. As long as we can execute that, we will be fine.”

Dunn adds young winger Tom Westlake to the squad for tomorrow’s clash.

Lions: (from) Tarrant, R Lynch, Wilford, Manning, Seward, Forrest, Hennings, Dunkerley, Crombie, Hart, Hardcastle, Pollard, Mallard, Flynn, Bruce, Connolly, Stewart, Searle, Westlake, K Lynch.

Swanage & Wareham will be looking to bounce back from successive reverses at Salisbury when they visit Marlow in South West One East.

The Purbeck outfit tasted defeat both in the league and the Dorset & Wilts Cup in recent weeks and face a Marlow side that has chalked up a run of inconsistent results.

Elsewhere, Wimborne visit Frome and Oakmeadians host Corsham in Southern Counties South.
