EDDIE Mitchell was this morning waking to a huge backlash from Cherries fans following yesterday's 3-0 defeat to Chesterfield at the Seward Stadium.
Chairman Mitchell confronted irate supporters in the Steve Fletcher Stand following the final whistle, at one stage grabbing a microphone to make his feelings known.
Clearly emotional, Mitchell appeared to invite one supporter on to the pitch "for a chat" and his antics were greeted by a chorus of boos and chanting.
The Echo understands Mitchell also entered the team's dressing room following the match, despite being asked not to by boss Lee Bradbury.
It is also alleged that Mitchell, in front of supporters at half-time, clashed with striker Lyle Taylor, who had been dropped from Bradbury's squad.
