Leaders Poole Park were wiped out at Lymington in A Division. Joan Geddes, Ann Norris, Ngaio Mapes and Angela Eldridge (23-14) set up Lymo’s first win of the season, while Kay Richardson’s crew (23-17) tidied up for the six points.

Richmond Park secured top spot with a 51-34 triumph over Broadstone Wessex. Jill Bryant (20-19) made it a last-end win to add to a 31-15 tally from Sylvia Postill, Monica Niemier, Linda Johnson and Muriel Groves.

Southbourne clung on to second place despite losing 4-2 at home to West Moors. The Moors combination of Val Baxter, Judith Miles, Pat Chant and June Simmons (23-16) outscored host skip Sue Dadson (17-15).

A classy performance from Swanmore’s Julie Hudson, Sandra Simmonds, Jill Griffiths and Gill Head (34-7), boosted by a 31-15 win from Jenny Osborne’s rink, saw the Swans glide to a 6-0 victory over Braeside.

Ferndown are still flying high thanks to a match-winning 23-16 from Dorothy Alner, Margaret Roberts, Linda Linge and Barbara Brown which covered Redhill Park’s successful skip Pat Horgan (12.75-12).

• Trailblazers Iford Bridge gained a 47-29 win at Brockenhurst in B Division. Janet Holloway, Pauline Sedgwick, Maureen Rutty and Ann Sedgwick (26-12), and a 21-17 haul from Renee Stanger, left the Badgers with an empty sett.

There was also an away win for Kings Park, who returned from Fordingbridge with all six points after Val Goodwin, Anne Hill, Pauline Harris and Laura Kitcher (29-16) paved the way for a right Royal 46-32 triumph.

Highcliffe suffered a 53-20 defeat at Wimborne. Lorna Foreman’s rink (25-14) gave support to Pat Collins, Elaine Campbell, Maggie Wilkins and Pat Gallup who cantered in to win 28-6.

It was a case of ‘Clickety Click’ at Milford-on-Sea, where the hosts registered a 66-22 win over New Milton.

The Seasiders’ skips Di Goodyear (38-14) and Chris Capron (28-8) spurred on their charges to take all six points.

There were shared rinks at West Moors but Pelhams collected the four points. Pelhams’ rink of Mary Watts, Audrey Judge, Audrey Lewis and Beth Roberts (36-11) covered Moors skip Olive Freeman (21-12).

• The top two clash at Richmond Park in C Division ended in a 4-2 defeat for Bournemouth. Richmond’s Mary Ridout, Hildene Remnant, Mary Lucas and Brenda Streater (33-10) kept ahead of Belles’ skip Joan Belcher (29-11).

Braeside jumped seven places to take top spot after their 53-26 victory over Verwood. Cynthia Davey, Peggy Bevis, Mary Southgate and Pauline Crocker (27-13) and Pam Coventry (26-13), eased the hosts to a 6-0 win.

Southbourne, too, made significant progress following their two-rink triumph at Alexandra Park. Olive Fidler, Jean Telford, Judith Bliss and Jill Goodright (26-18) led the Tower ladies to a 50-38 win and second spot.

Richmond Park II snatched a 4-2 (43-42) victory over visitors Branksome Park, courtesy of Jean Revell, Pam Draper, Ann Devine and Anne Lodge (26-10) who collected two shots on the last end of the match.

Argyll clocked up their first win by defeating hosts Broadstone-Wessex 51-36. Argyll skip Norma Ritchens (22-22) restricted the Wessex Girls to one point after Emmie Drinkwater’s rink carded a 29-14 winning total.

n New Milton became the new D Division leaders after a 53-25 win at Ringwood. Inspired by June Bolding, Gill King, Barbara Shields and Jo Craggs (29-13), Sheila James’s rink (24-12) completed a 6-0 victory for the visitors.

Poole Park slipped to second despite a 4-2 home win over Lymington. Anne Coles’s rink (17-15) denied the Dolphins six points after Rosemary Stainer, Anita Jones, Phyl Wallis and Gwyneth Foord carded a 27-9 win.

Highcliffe resumed winning form with a 41-39 victory over Swanmore. The Castle maidens’ Janet Ramsay, Kathy Smith, Janet Donald and Anne Taylor (25-16) covered the Swans’ winning skip Cathy Hayes (23-16).

Terri Shepherd, Barbara Read, Mary Wilde and Pat Martin (23-15) were the cornerstone of Moordown’s 43-34 win at Pelhams. Fellow skip Cathy France (20-19) held on to give Moordown all six points.

Broadstone-Wessex skip Peggy Friberg had a last-end 18-17 win to deny hosts Argyll a clean sweep. Della David, Margaret Gardener, Bobby Thomson and Mary Burrell-Davis (27-8) set up Argyll’s victory.

• Shelley Park had to fight tooth and nail to overcome hosts Pelhams 5-1 (35-34) in E Division. Both rinks were extremely close. Pelhams skip Wendy Watton drew 17-17, while Shelley came through to win 18-17.

Braeside went second after defeating visitors Southbourne 59-20. Sue Gettings, Jean Andrews, Margaret Steel and Pat Shepherd (39-5) put Braeside out of reach. Janet Young’s rink (20-15) tidied up for the full house.

Redhill Park and New Milton both notched their first win, over Poole Park and Christchurch respectively.

Margaret Colborne, Babs Jones, Barbara Bell and Booby Saunders (26-10) paved the way for Redhill’s 4-2 (35.75-29) victory over Poole Park.

At New Milton, a 23-10 tally from Audrey Wills, Wendy Bayliss, Nancy Peckham and Mary Harper covered the Christchurch winning skip Margaret Crisp (24-20).

Branksome Park skip Hilary Jenkins’s 22-14 was outscored by the West Moors combination of Irene Clarke, Pauline Reynolds, Shirley Sadler and Val Burton (25-12) who secured four points for the Moors.

• Unbeaten Ferndown’s latest F Division victory came at Highcliffe, where the star rink of Julie Masterman, Brenda Wilkin, Margaret Bengtsson and Anne Wrighton (29-11) featured as Ferndown triumphed 6-0 (48-22).

Last week’s leaders New Milton suffered a 4-2 home defeat by Milford-on-Sea. Ann Goodchild, Carrie Kaye, Pat Brailey and Margaret McCann (26-15) covered Milton’s winning skip Beryl Midgley (22-13).

Moordown returned from Wimborne with all six points. But one Minster rink, which won 24-20, was one player short and a 25 per cent adjustment left them losing 24-18. This, combined with Moordown’s winning skip Pat Masters (22-13), gave Moordown a 42-31 win.

More 25 per cent adjustments at Kings Park saw the hosts run out 39-17.25 winners against Redhill Park. Vesta Monk, Jean Roebuck, Diana Boreham and Joyce Clough (24-10) ensured the Royals’ 4-2 victory.

Swanmore remained on zero points after their 48-26 defeat at Branksome Park. Honours were shared between skips Tina Richardson (25-13) and Jeanette Newman (23-13) as the Squirrels notched a maximum haul.
