VERWOOD boss Adie Arnold admitted the club’s fixture congestion is finally taking its toll on his side following their 5-2 defeat at Division One rivals Petersfield last night.
“There were a few tired legs out there,” said Arnold. “Playing twice a week is finally catching up with us, but there was no excuse for the basic mistakes we made.”
Skipper Charlie Elysee twice equalised for the Potters who went into the interval on level terms.
Potters: Fawcett, Freeman, Dear, Delaney, Murray, Saxby, Dyer, Gajic, Elysee, Aspin (Scott 65), Haskell. Unused sub: Beverley.
