GRAHAM Kemp admitted all the big decisions went Priory’s way as they became the first side to beat Newport in eight matches.

Matt Evans fired the Islanders into a 10th-minute lead.

But the game was turned on its head when Newport duo Harry Ovnik and Tom Scovell were sent off after Ben Dickenson was brought down for a penalty.

Ovnik was dismissed for fouling Dickenson, while Scovell saw red for dissent following the penalty decision.

Ben Osborne coolly tucked away the spot kick and bagged further goals just before half-time and after the break as he hit a hat-trick against Newport’s nine men.

Kemp said: “We had a lot of luck. The key decisions went our way.

“The two red cards were a big turning point. We scored the penalty, they were down to nine men and then we scored another just before half-time.

“Newport had gone seven unbeaten so it was a big win for us.

“Ben Osborne, along with all of our players, has had a tough time over the past few weeks.

“Strikers thrive on goals and he’s been a bit sparse on that front recently.

“He’d missed his previous penalty but had the guts to take this one and scored it.

“I’m pleased for the boys and him.”
