SUTTONERS Civil built a comfortable three-goal lead thanks to Kieran Campbell, Simon Cross and Dan Marks in the Premier Division, but they had to hang on nervously in the closing stages when Verwood Town pulled it back to 3-2 with goals from Mika Dronyk and Peter Eyre.

Unbeaten Bournemouth Electric were also 3-2 winners when James Pearce, Jason Morgan and Leigh Phillips gave them the verdict against Mudeford Men’s Club to put them top of the table on goal difference. Martin Saunders and Toby Sherriff were Mudeford’s marksmen.

Former leaders Hamworthy Recreation netted through Dan Notley and Gavin Haynes but they had to settle for a point when Ben Read (pen) and Ryan Cox earned bottom-placed Redlynch and Woodfalls United an impressive 2-2 draw.

Peter Pritchard, Dan Webb and Alan Marsh struck for Old Oakmeadians but draw specialists Pennington St Marks finished all square for the fifth time in eight outings when Andy Chilcott, Simon Young and Hisham Douik ensured a 3-3 stalemate.

Ed Ewens’s sixth-minute strike for Westover Bournemouth settled the issue 1-0 in the other Premier Division game against Sway, who squandered a good opportunity to get on terms when they blazed a penalty over the bar just before the interval.

DIVISION ONE

PORTCASTRIAN remain four points clear at the top of after tanning AFC Highcliffe 5-0 thanks to Rhys Dear’s hat-trick and further goals from Ben Virabi and Rob Woolner.

Nearest rivals Bournemouth Electric Reserves were 3-1 winners against bottom-placed St Mary’s with goals from Steve Blyth (2) and James Crow.

Harrington United replace Redhill Rangers in fourth place after upending them 5-2 with goals from Marc Gover, Craig Mowlem, Paul Wilkinson, Robert Scadding and Ryan Toms, while Ollie Moore supplied the finishing touch in Alderholt’s 1-0 win over Fordingbridge Turks.

DIVISION TWO

NEW Milton Linnets are just two points adrift of unbeaten leaders Tuakana after Paul Morris and Darren Fowle gave them the edge 2-1 against Walkford.

Sway Reserves were also 2-1 winners when Justin Whitbread and Scott Tapper put paid to tailenders JP Morgan, while Westover Bournemouth Reserves and Suttoners Civil Reserves cancelled each other out in a 3-3 draw. Wayne Nagy, Ananada Nair and Daniel Snell were the Westover scorers with Keith Newton (2) and Lascelles Richardson replying for the Suttoners.

DIVISION THREE

BOTTOM-placed AFC Parkstone chalked up their first point of the season after Barry Varley earned them a 1-1 draw with Old Oakmeadians Reserves who replied through Dave Bundy.

DIVISION FOUR

TAILENDERS Shamrock also got off the mark at last with Harry Foley and Phil Hamilton clinching a 2-1 win over AFC West Moors.

FC Athletico took a 5-2 tumble when Henleys Electric hit them with a Matty Ings hat-trick and further goals from Gary Lane and Neil Stone.

The defeat of FC Athletico allowed Albany Athletic to edge past them on goal difference after Mike Reynolds and Simon Leman gave them the edge 2-1 against Fifa Standards.

There was also a 2-1 win for Magpies when Simon Vening and Colin Brown scuppered Bournemouth UST.

DIVISION FIVE

THE big guns blazed away when unbeaten leaders AFC Pennington emulated Premiership Tottenham by handing out a 9-1 drubbing to Chaplins thanks to Tom Brown (2), Gavin Furnell, Dave Redpath, Dan Peach, an own goal and a hat-trick from substitute Daniel Swager.

Luke Walker rattled in five when second-placed Bisterne Rangers hammered Griffin 9-0 with Andrew Hurll and Jon White adding two apiece, while Lee Moss bagged a hat-trick in Mudeford Men’s Club Reserves’ 5-2 success against Bransgore United with Rogerio Morro and Mitch East getting one each.

Bournemouth A shaded it 4-3 against Walker Scott with Mike Walsh and Jason Lock getting two each while bottom-placed Twyham Rangers opened their points account when Michael Jones (2), Ryan Bailey, Sam Cooke and Matt Fay surprised Rockbourne 5-2.

DIVISION SIX

SOMETHING had to give when two top sides, both boasting perfect records, went head-to-head, and it was leaders Townsend Spartans who came off second best when Gareth Wanklyn’s 82nd minute strike gave Vienna Windows the verdict 1-0.

Mike Thompson (2), Tom Biles and Matt Scott gave Queens Park Athletic Reserves the upper hand 4-2 against Ringwood Athletic, while AFC Bransgore gave Bournemouth Hospital a 5-0 drubbing with goals from Luke Bassil (2), Charlie Field (2), and Liam Jessop.

Fordingbridge Turks Reserves moved away from the foot of the table when Craig Greenaway and Aaron Moorman gave them a 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Bransgore United Reserves.
