TOM Killick could be without a number of key men as Poole Town prepare for some hard miles in the FA Vase.

Dolphins must travel to Brislington tonight (7.45pm) after Saturday’s original second-round tie fell foul of the weather.

But a 3pm departure to Bristol has left Killick short of options.

The Dolphins boss said: “It’s a bit of a headache having to play the game on a Tuesday night. It’s hard at this level because people need to get time off work to travel, so I don’t know why they do it.

“But we have to get on with it. This round and the next round are regionalised so replays or rearranged games have to be played by the Thursday after the original game.

“It’s still a lot of travelling, though, even at this stage. We often have to go to the West Country. It’s a shame, because ideally you’d have both sides with their strongest teams out, but the away sides are penalised by having to play on a Tuesday night.”

Killick, whose side were paired with Eastbourne United in yesterday’s third round draw, could be without Lamin Dibba, Aaron Skelton, Dave Sturgess, Stuart Brown and Andy Culliford, while Carl Poore is serving a one-match ban. Veteran midfielder Taffy Richardson is still sidelined.

Christchurch, meanwhile, host Almondsbury Town in their rearranged second round tie tonight (7.45pm).

A win would see Graham Kemp’s charges travel to Witney United in the third round.
