WESSEX Division One outfit Ringwood Town are preparing for tomorrow’s pre-season visit of Cherries (7pm).
Ambitious Ringwood have ploughed ahead with changes to their home ground during the close-season, while on the field new manager Wayne Lockey is building a side which will be aiming for promotion into the Wessex Premier.
Previewing the friendly against Eddie Howe’s Cherries, former Ringwood boss and committee member Jy Taylor said: “Eddie Howe has been here before and knows that we’ll provide a good run-out for the Bournemouth players and it is a vital game for us.
“We’ve publicised the game widely in the town and we’re really hoping to attract Ringwood people to the game.
“This is not really about Wayne getting a look at the new players but more about people of the town getting a look at their ‘new’ club.”
Refreshments will be available and tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 under-16s.
