SWIMMING sensation Amelia Maughan stormed to an 100m freestyle gold medal at the European Youth Olympics in Finland this afternoon.
The 13-year-old Bournemouth Dolphins star claimed her second medal of the competition after she helped TeamGB’s girls to bronze in the 100m freestyle relay yesterday.
Maughan, the youngest competitor in the TeamGB squad, smashed her personal best to record a stunning 56.93 swim – just two one hundredths of a second in front of second-placed Charlotte Bonnet of France.
