CHERRIES MATCH OFF

AFC Bournemouth's League Two match against Bradford City at Dean Court tomorrow has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Premiership referee Keith Stroud made the decision in the interest of players' safety. The Fareham-based official made the pitch inspection at 12pm today.

Poor Eddie - I seem to remember when he was made reserve team manager it took ages for him to get any games under his belt due to 2 or 3 being called off. Still the positive is that it gives him more time to work with the squad and hopefully knock some sense into them!!

there was a time when clubs used to take precautions against the weather, but it seems to easy to postpone and play it later, please if anyone is going to the forum tonight please ask Mr Murry about his mythical consortium, if a person is reported to have purchase 50% interest with a consortium and cannot name anyone saying it is not yes finalised, I know I am a cynic but it does make me very suspicious

So tell me when this time was! Clubs with basket case finances like ours can only afford to cover when TV money would be lost through a postponement.

Let's hope people give him a chance it's hardly fair to say it's his policy to play one up front when he's only had one game in charge and that was away from home after taking over just a couple of days before hand. He will have his own ideas and no doubt will play the side he sees as the best with the players he has, our season is not all down to one up front, we have lost many games and played just a poorly with two up front in the past, so let's just give Eddie a chance and see what he has in mind first shall we.

Devon Exile - Mr Murry mentioned at the Press conference on New Years Day that nothing will be announced about the consortium until the end of the month.

I'm fairly new to this posting business - different generation !!
Is what I'm seeing fairly typical ? Doesn't seem much else but moaning and groaning - a few experts with the answers who perhaps should be running the club instead of hiding in here. Any true Cherries fan will be perfectly aware of all the difficulties but Edie, Savi etc are the ones charged with sorting it out. Ranting on here about how unsuitable or otherwise they may be will change absolutely nothing at Dean Court - the only way we as fans can alter anything is to turn up every week, keep the whingeing for down the pub later and support this group of players and management with everything you've got. Aaah, that's better !!!

sorry probably before your time I am talking about the 50/60s in the days when bad debt was not common in football clubs
