ANDONI Iraola says Cherries will look to appeal to overturn the red card shown to Milos Kerkez at Molineux.

With around 10 minutes remaining and Cherries leading Gary O’Neil’s Wolves, Kerkez was given his marching orders by referee Stuart Attwell after a sliding challenge on Matt Doherty.

The visitors ground out the 1-0 win.

Asked for his thoughts on the decision to send Kerkez off, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I suppose we will appeal, yes.

“I have seen the replay. Obviously Milos arrives late, but I don’t think it’s dangerous.

“He also tries to bend his knees at the end and he goes just on the floor, it is not dangerous for the player.

“I think what is associated with a red card is he missed the end of the game and also misses another three games.

“To miss three games because of this foul, for me is too harsh and I suppose we will appeal.”

As it stands, Kerkez will be unavailable for upcoming fixtures against Brighton & Hove Albion, Arsenal and Brentford, before returning against Chelsea on the final day of the season.
