AFTER months of work across the World Cup series, Poole's Bryony Page has secured Team GB a second women’s trampoline gymnastics spot at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Great Britain is only one of two nations, alongside China, to have qualified two women, which is an outstanding achievement for the country.

Tracy Whittaker-Smith MBE, director of performance at British Gymnastics, said: “It’s fantastic to have two spaces confirmed for women’s trampoline gymnastics at the Paris Olympics.

“Our gymnasts have dedicated months to this cause, and I am overjoyed that it has paid off. Back in November, the valiant work of Bryony Page and Izzy Songhurst saw them both qualify for the World Championship individual trampoline final, but due to Olympic rules, we could only qualify one space from this route, with the only way to secure another spot being the World Cup series.

“Bryony handled the pressure with the utmost professionalism, demonstrating her class, talent, and expertise.”

Page, a consistent performer, executed beautiful routines across the weekend and finished in fourth place.

Also, across the weekend, in the women’s synchronised competition, Page and Songhurst had a strong qualification round, scoring 48.430, but unfortunately did not make it through their routine in the final.
