POOLE Town’s clash with Plymouth Parkway has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Dolphins had been set to welcome the Southern Premier League South strugglers from Devon to Tatnam Farm for a 7.45pm kick-off this evening.
However, with the large distance Parkway have to travel, an early call was made to postpone the match.
A statement on Poole Town’s website read: “With a huge sense of frustration tonight’s game has had to be postponed as the recent heavy rain has continued to saturate the pitch leaving the Club and the league with no alternative.
“The relentless rain over the weekend flooded the surface and with the water table being so high at present it has been unable to clear sufficiently for tonight’s game to go ahead.
“A new date will be advised but it will have to be a Thursday due to Plymouth having already used all the available Tuesdays.”
