SWANSEA City scored twice in the closing minutes to stun Cherries and leapfrog them in the Professional Development League South title race.

Cherries looked on course to go back top of the table, coming from behind to lead 2-1 in south Wales, courtesy of goals from Balraj Landa and Max Kinsey.

But Swans rallied, equalising on 84 minutes, before a stoppage-time strike from Maliq Cadogan earned a 3-2 victory.

Boss Alan Connell made just one change from the 4-0 win at Folland Sports in the Hampshire Senior Cup. Dominic Sadi, fresh from first-team duty over the weekend, returned in place of Baylin Johnson.

Cherries began the stronger of the two sides at Landore Academy, forcing goalkeeper Archie Matthews into a super stop to deny Jonny Stuttle, who had connected with a Noa Boutin cross.

Swansea took the lead just past the half-hour mark, Cadogan racing through one-on-one and calmly slotting past Cameron Plain.

The hosts almost doubled their lead, Cadogan sending Cameron Congreve away, but he fired off target from close range.

Cherries levelled the contest on the stroke of half-time. Kian Tydeman found Landa, who curled home from the edge of the box.

And Connell’s side turned the game on its head four minutes into the second half. Stuttle’s run caused problems for Matthews, allowing captain Kinsey to fire the loose ball into the net.

Plain then denied Congreve at the other end, before Cherries came close to extending their lead. Substitute Euan Pollock, back from injury, saw his diving header cleared off the line.

Swansea levelled the game up with six minutes to play, Glory Nzingo coming off the bench to score.

Richard Faakye then had an effort ruled out for offside, before the winner did arrive at the death, Cadogan crashing in his second of the night.

Cherries slip to fourth in the table, Swansea going up to second, both just one point behind leaders Queens Park Rangers.
