DETAILS for Cherries’ under-18s FA Youth Cup tie with Newcastle United have been confirmed.
James Lowy’s youngsters will travel to Tyneside to face the Magpies in the fourth round of the competition on Wednesday, January 17, with kick-off at 7pm.
The tie will be staged at Newcastle’s home ground, St James’ Park.
Cherries defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 away at the Hawthorns in the third round to set up the tie, Ashley Clarke with both goals.
Newcastle thumped Leyton Orient 7-2 in their third-round match. The Toon are two-time winners of the competition, last lifting the trophy in 1985.
The furthest Cherries have reached in the competition is the quarter-final stage, having reached the final eight on two occasions – most recently in 2018/19.
Last season Cherries were knocked out at the third-round stage by Liverpool.
