CHERRIES moved up into the top half of the Premier League table as their stunning unbeaten run continued with a comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham.

Andoni Iraola’s men are now seven without defeat in the top flight, six ending in victory, the latest courtesy of goals from Justin Kluivert, Dominic Solanke and Luis Sinisterra.

It marks just the second time Cherries have registered four Premier League wins on the spin, the other coming back in 2018, equals their longest ever unbeaten run in the division, and lifts them up to 10th in the table.

There were two changes from the side which started the weekend win at Nottingham Forest. Lewis Cook dropped out due to an adductor injury, while Philip Billing was on the bench with Alex Scott and Kluivert coming in to the XI.

Having received his third booking of the season on Saturday, boss Iraola served a one-match touchline ban, observing the game from the stands.

The match began at a good pace, but without either side able to carve out a clear opening. Antoine Semenyo’s shot struck teammate Solanke, while at the other end full-backs Antonee Robinson and Kenny Tete tried their luck.

A lot of Cherries’ attacks were going through Kluivert, who teed up Solanke to go close to breaking the deadlock on 11 minutes. His shot was deflected behind off Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Fulham centre-back had to be alert again just past the half-hour mark, sliding in to superbly block the shot of Kluivert, who had been picked out in space by Semenyo.

Goalkeeper Bernd Leno was almost caught out dallying from the resulting corner, Marcos Senesi picking his pocket, but his defence scrambled back to clear.

But the German was not afforded the same grace just before half-time. As Cherries’ advanced midfield trio switch positions, Kluivert found space on the left. An excellent driving run through the centre of the pitch by Scott was key, using trickery and power before prodding the ball to Kluivert.

The Dutch international took aim, firing low past Leno, who will likely feel he could have done better with his attempted save.

As the game reached the hour mark, Cherries doubled their lead.

After a wait of exactly 20 months, Cherries were awarded a penalty as Semenyo was bundled over in the box by Joao Palhinha.

As he did in that fixture at Swansea City in April 2022, Solanke stepped up and slotted home.

The hosts had another strong shout for a penalty soon after, Kluivert going down in the box under Robinson’s challenge, but referee Tim Robinson waved away the claims.

Both managers turned to their benches as the game reached the final 20 minutes. Former Cherries loanee Harry Wilson came on for Fulham, while Billing and Sinisterra were introduced for the hosts.

There were some pantomime boos for Wilson when he entered the field, but Cherries fans turned their ire instead towards Leno soon after. The 31-year-old shoved a ball boy as he went to collect the ball from the youngster behind his goal. He later apologised during a stoppage in play, during which all ball boys and girls were removed from their positions for the remainder of the contest.

Sinisterra wrapped up the resounding win in stoppage time with a venomous strike from 20 yards.
