WIMBORNE suffered another setback in the race for Dorset bragging rights after being held to a 0-0 draw by Wessex League rivals Fareham at Cams Alders tonight.
The Mapgies, beaten 1-0 by Poole and Poppies in their past two games, slipped to fifth after drawing a third successive blank in a game of few chances.
James Bailey-Pearce struck the upright and Scott Joyce saw his follow-up saved by Lee Webber as the Mapgies enjoyed the lion's share of possession.
Wimborne: Hutchings, Arnold, Phillipson-Masters, McCormick (Warren, 70), Roast, Jones, James, Woods, Joyce (Stokoe, 65), Whitcher, Bailey-Pearce (Vavrecka, 70). Unused sub: Walker-Harris (g/k).
