POPPIES registered an emphatic 8-0 victory over hapless Downton to round off their Victoria Park campaign in style tonight.
James Wood's charges notched four goals either side of the break to end the season unbeaten at home in the Wessex League.
Relegated Downton were put to the sword by first-half goals from Ollie Cherrett, Rich McCabe, Tom Jeffes and Lamin Dibba. Jeffes, Steve Strong, Mark Tiger Woods' Dancer and Leigh Phillips completed the rout.
