GEORGIA Hall remains on course for a famous double after booking her place in the last four pairs of the European Championship.

Last weekend’s Women’s British Open winner is through the semi-finals of the women’s fourball match play event at Gleneagles alongside playing partner Dame Laura Davies.

The duo saw off Belgium’s Manon de Roey and Chloe Leurquin 4&2 today to complete a perfect group campaign.

But Gleneagles, which hosts the Solheim Cup next year, is a stern test at the best of times – and Hall admitted she played poorly down the back nine in tough conditions.

The Wimborne-based professional said: "I’m really enjoying playing with Laura. I played a bit poorly on the back nine, but that's golf.

“It was not perfect but, sometimes, that is enough to win matches.”

After competing in tomorrow’s mixed team event, Hall and Davies on Sunday morning reunite for their semi-final with Sweden’s Linda Wessberg and Cajsa Persson.

“I want to win gold and I think we can. We are both playing well and holing some good putts," added Hall.
