WIMBORNE AC roared back into contention in the South West League with a fine victory at Exeter in the third round.

Harry Woods, Harry Bunting, Oli Foster and Tristan Green set a new club record in the under-13 boys' relay, lowering it to 55.18 for the second time in as many weeks.

Joe Goodwin won both the under-15 discus (27.08m) and hammer (25.56m), while Xander Long won both the under-20 pole vault (3m) and shot (10.64m).

Abbie Lovering warmed up for her English Schools' debut with a win in the under-17 300m (41.92s) and third place in the shot (10.03m).
