NEIL Middleditch reckons Pirates will have to use all their brainpower to make an impression at Wolverhampton.

The compact Monmore Green circuit has traditionally presented a considerable challenge for visiting riders and team boss Middleditch knows the scale of the task ahead.

He told the Daily Echo: "It's probably the most technical track in the UK. You really have to think your way round there, it's not just a case of going flat out.

"You have to be smart in the head and Wolves are very good round there, as they proved on Monday when they smashed Rye House 60-30.

"We know it's going to be a tough meeting but we go everywhere to win and we will be battling, that's for sure."

Poole have four points in their locker following a win and a defeat against Belle Vue, alongside a heavy home loss to Swindon.

Middleditch added: "We are still trying to get things set up but I don't want to be sitting here in two months saying the same thing.

"I want to be sitting here with us up there in the league and challenging for the play-off spots. I'm still very confident we can do that."

Tomorrow's meeting is due to begin at 7.30pm.
