A DISAPPOINTING final round by her own high standards cost Dorset's Georgia Hall any chance of challenging for the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic.
Wimborne-based Hall, who had already wrapped up the LET order of merit, finished tied for 21st with a four-round total of six-under 282 at Emirates Golf Club.
Hall started the day handily-placed in 12th on seven-under and carded a birdie at the par-five third to move to within sight of the leaders.
However, disaster struck at the par-four sixth where a costly double bogey saw her bid for a maiden tour victory effectively bite the dust.
The 21-year-old, who has been in stunning form this season, then carded nine pars on the trot before a bogey at the 16th saw her slip to five-under.
But Hall immediately clawed back the dropped she when her second birdie of the day at the par-four 17th saw her close with a one-over 73.
Hall, ranked 40th in the world, banked 5,470 euro for her exploits, taking her career earnings on the LET to 594,200 euro.
She finished nine shots behind eventual winner Angel Yin, 19, who triumphed following a three-way play-off with South Korea’s In-Kyung Kim and Celine Herbin of France.
