EDDIE Howe described as “incredible” Swansea boss Paul Clement’s club experience.

A former assistant to Carlo Ancelotti, Clement’s former clubs range across a wealth of European giants such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Hired as head coach in January to replace Bob Bradley at Swansea, Clement steered the Welsh club to Premier League safety last season with a 15th place finish.

And the Cherries boss, whose side are tomorrow set to face the Swans at the Liberty Stadium (3pm), expressed admiration for his opposite number.

Quizzed on his adversary’s record, Howe told the Daily Echo: “His CV is incredible. I think mine compared to his is ridiculously short!

“The clubs he has coached at is a true mark of what he is capable of. You don’t work for those football clubs if you do not have outstanding knowledge or know how to handle the personalities that are involved.

“His career is quite unique in terms of what he has done.”

A four-game Premier League losing run has heaped pressure on Swans boss Clement, whose side are 19th in the table.

But Howe insisted scrutiny was par for the course of top-flight management.

He added: “I think we are all under pressure – that is the nature of the beast.

“When you are managing in the Premier League you are always one result away from a crisis it seems and one result away from lifting yourself and being in a totally different position.

“It comes with the territory of managing in this league and the spotlight which is always on you.

“But Paul is a good guy and has always handled himself in the right way and he will come through this.”

Commenting further on Swansea, Howe added: “They are a good team, I have seen them many times this season.

“They are very well organised, they know their jobs and know their roles. You can see that in how they are coached and when you watch them play.

“They haven’t had things all their own way this season but that is the Premier League and sometimes you get a run of games you find difficult and you lose confidence.

“I think they have a very good squad, a very good manager and I back them to come out of it.”
