WEYMOUTH boss Mark Molesley hailed Cherries youngster Charlie Seaman’s display for the Terras against Kings Langley on Saturday.
Seaman, who has worked with Molesley as part of Cherries’ under-21 set-up this season, signed for the non-league side on a youth loan ahead of the Southern League Premier Division clash.
The full-back played 90 minutes and netted Weymouth’s second goal in their 2-0 victory.
Asked about the 18-year-old’s performance, Molesley told the Dorset Echo: “I thought he acquitted himself well.
“He was a good attacking outlet in the first half and showed his defensive qualities in the second half.
“When called upon, he got forward and made a difference with a fantastically-taken goal.”
The 18-year-old defender previously played for West Ham before joining Cherries.
Molesley added: “He’s at a point in his development where we think men’s football will suit him.”
Seaman came into the Weymouth squad in place of the injured Calvin Brooks, brother of Marvin Brooks, who recently returned to Poole Town following a brief stint at Salisbury.
Cherries youngster Seaman could make his second loan appearance when Weymouth host Tiverton Town tonight (7.45pm).
