CHERRIES midfielder Harry Arter has been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for their crucial World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Wales.
The 27-year-old’s place in the party was in jeopardy after he was left out of Cherries’ 2-1 defeat at Everton on Saturday.
Boss Eddie Howe confirmed the former Woking man did not feature against the Toffees due to an Achilles problem.
But Arter has been included in Martin O’Neill’s 32-man provisional party for next month's fixtures.
The Republic, who are third in Group D at present, host Moldova at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, October 6.
The Boys in Green then face a crunch clash against second-place Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium five days later.
Arter featured for 61 minutes during Ireland’s 1-1 draw against Georgia in Tbilisi earlier this month.
He was an unused substitute against group leaders Serbia.
The Cherries star made his senior debut for the country in a 0-0 draw with England in June 2015.
The Republic are currently a point behind Wales in the group and five behind Serbia.
