AUSSIE ace Jack Holder enjoyed a bumper bank holiday weekend in the SGB Championship as he twice racked up double figures for Peterborough.

The 21-year-old banked 10 points for the Panthers in their 60-32 loss at Ipswich, before inspiring his team to victory in the return clash.

Holder recorded a 14-point salvo at the East of England Showground to help Peterborough win 46-44.

Fellow Pirates rider Lewis Kerr scored seven paid nine for Scunthorpe in their 48-45 loss at Workington, also securing 10 in the 46-44 home defeat to Redcar.

A guest booking yielded seven paid eight for Nicolai Klindt as he helped Somerset secure Knockout Cup progress at Leicester – the Dane’s former club.

Although they lost 48-42 on the night, Somerset won 91-89 on aggregate.

Klindt managed the same score for Krakow in their 46-44 triumph over visitors Tarnow in the Polish second tier.

The meeting between Brady Kurtz’s Pila and Hans Andersen’s Lodz was rained off.

In the Ekstraliga – the Polish top flight – Krzysztof Kasprzak could only total four paid five in Gorzow’s 46-44 victory at Torun.

Poole reserve James Shanes earned his place in the European grasstrack final after finishing second at Netherlands venue Balkbrug.

The final is due to take place at German track Hertingen in August.
