Jason Tindall described Baily Cargill's Premier League debut at Manchester United as "what dreams are made of".

Cargill was called on with 12 minutes remaining of a fiery Old Trafford encounter, when fellow defender Tyrone Mings was forced off by a knee problem.

With Cherries drawing 1-1 and reduced to 10 men following Andrew Surman's first-half dismissal, Cargill impeccably handled the red-hot atmosphere and helped his team claim a valuable point.

Assistant boss Tindall told the Daily Echo: "It is what dreams are made of for any young player.

"You dream of making your debut at a place like this. I think it was a good situation, in a sense, for Baily.

"It was difficult in terms of the scoreline and with us being down to 10 men.

"But he had a bit of time to think about it and I think he has delivered a performance that is down to the hard work he has put in, in training."

Cargill made his first Cherries appearances as a 19-year-old, in a League Cup victory over Exeter in August 2014.

All of his subsequent nine outings for the club prior to the weekend had come in cup competitions.

The 21-year-old recovered from ankle and hernia injuries to play 10 games on loan at League One Gillingham earlier this term.

Following his Gills debut back in November Cargill told the Daily Echo: "I want to play at the highest level I can.

"I’ve come to Gillingham to gain experience, then hopefully go back to Bournemouth a better player and see what happens with the gaffer."
