WESTOVER and Bournemouth Rowing Club warmed up for the new season with victory in the J16 quad category at the Itchen Imperial Junior Regatta.

Libby Perry coxed Dom Bihari, Ben Chesterman, Tom Cave and Nathan Prowles to first place with Chesterman then securing a second victory for the club as he took first in his J16 scull.

Perry, joint winner of the Hants & Dorset ladies' novice scull championship, continued the club's success when she claimed first place in the ladies' river scull open in a head race hosted by Southampton-based BTC, also on the Itchen.

Charlie Ranson was also victorious in his river scull in the J16 category and went on to pick up a second win with team-mate Chesterman in the men’s coastal double scull open.

WBRC’s J16 coastal quad, comprising Bihari, Cave and Prowles – and coxed by Reuben Tyler-Wilkinson – went on to make it four wins on the day for the club.
