HAMWORTHY United boss Carl Poore insisted he withdrew his interest in Chris Senior and Ross Lloyd once had realised they were committed to Christchurch.
Poore admitted he had sounded out the defensive duo ahead of his first campaign at the County Ground but had no intention of taking things further once they had nailed their colours to the mast.
"We didn't realise they were still at Christchurch," said Poore. I enquired about them but when it became apparent they were sorted for the season, we left it there.
"There was no formal attempt to sign them, it was just the normal pre-season enquiry as to what they were up to."
Poore has been busy bolstering his squad with goalkeeper Jamie Horton who has relocated to the area from Cornwall and experienced Wessex League player Aaron Corby from Hamworthy Recreation.
Ex-Poole Town defender Sam Clarke put pen to paper over the past week and Connor Phillips and Jordan Cole have re-signed.
Jordan Fisk, Max Brimson and Liam Donachy have all been training with United after spending last season with Verwood Town but Poore missed out on the signing of ex-Bashley midfielder Liam Green.
