CHERRIES midfielder Lee Tomlin has completed a permanent move to Bristol City.

The 27-year-old penned a three-year deal with the Championship side as he brought to an end his 11-month spell at Vitality Stadium.

The teams are believed to have agreed a fee of around £3million, allowing Cherries to recoup what they paid Middlesbrough for Tomlin last summer.

Tomlin was restricted to just 10 appearances for Cherries last season before joining Championship outfit City on loan in January.

The temporary switch came just days after a series of posts regarding his future had appeared on his official Twitter account.

Boss Eddie Howe said the former Peterborough man would be dealt with "internally" following the tweets.

Tomlin proved a big hit at City, netting six times in 18 games as the Robins avoided relegation from the second tier.
