DAN Loader and Lee Beck both claimed three wickets as New Milton eased to a convincing 145-run victory over Premier Division strugglers Ventnor.
The Islanders, who had arrived at Fernhill Sports Ground a player short, were shot out for just 54 in reply to the Green & Golds’ formidable total of 199 for seven.
Tom Arnold (52) and Nick Park (44) shared 75 for the first wicket as New Milton made an encouraging start.
Although James Park and David Wakefield fell cheaply, Ollie Shrubsole (33) remained undefeated as New Milton batted their full allocation of 49 overs.
Three quick wickets for Loader (3-8), coupled with George Watts (1-23) having Rob Snell caught by Shrubsole, saw Ventnor crash to nine for four.
And although Alex Glendenning (36) offered some resistance, they never recovered as Beck (3-12) and Nick Elliott (2-0) continued to wreak havoc with the ball.
