MANCHESTER United manager Louis van Gaal was left to rue conceding from two corners as his side tasted defeat at Vitality Stadium.

He said: “My players showed fantastic attitude because it is more difficult when you are behind after the first minute.

“We created chances, we scored and dominated the game so I had a feeling we should win at half-time.

“In the second half, we couldn’t manage always the long balls in the channels for King and that’s why we dominated less in the second half.

“It was two set-plays, two goals and you cannot accept it as a manager, as a player and as a team because we pay a lot of attention to it.

“Bournemouth vary a lot with corners and free-kicks and we have seen it and paid attention to it but still they scored. It was the reason we lost at Wolfsburg and it is a very strong lesson for us.”
