SWANSEA manager Garry Monk said Cherries' Simon Francis "clearly clips" Andre Ayew to earn them a penalty on Saturday at Liberty Stadium.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, he said: "Considering we were two goals down we have to give credit to the players to come back from that.

"It shows the spirit within the squad and their work ethic. Having gone two goals down it added to the tension and anxiety within the crowd and that affects the players a little bit.

"With the ball we lost a bit of confidence. It's important, that's the only bit that's really missing. The other side is all there; the spirit and the defending was all there."

On the penalty he said: "Of the two replays I have seen the first goal is onside.

"On the penalty, the defender clearly clips Andre (Ayew), whether thats intentional or not is debatable, but he definitely clips him which trips him up and refereee decides that's a penalty.

"No real complaints to be honest."
