WIMBORNE Town could be on collision course with 2014-15 Western League champions Melksham Town in the FA Cup.

The Magpies have been drawn away to either Melksham or Cowes Sports in the preliminary round on Saturday, August 29.

In the extra preliminary round, Hamworthy, Verwood, Poppies, Lymington, Christchurch and New Milton have been handed home draws.

Extra preliminary round ties are due to take place on Saturday, August 15.

  • Poole Town will travel to Southern Premier new boys Merthyr Town in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday, October 31.

Wimborne will begin their campaign in the preliminary round on Saturday, October 3 when they make the trip to Larkhall Athletic.

  • Dorset Premier League minnows Swanage Town & Herston will face a visit from Wiltshire opposition in FA Vase second round qualifying.

Alan Lay’s troops will host either Corsham Town or Westbury United on Saturday, October 3.

In first round qualifying, due to take place on Saturday, September 5, Poppies, Verwood and Ringwood have been given home ties.
