BOURNEMOUTH netball star Geva Mentor has been named captain of England ahead of this summer's Netball World Cup.
The 30-year-old will lead a 12-strong squad in Sydney as England tackle Scotland, Jamaica and Samoa in Pool B.
Former St Peter's School pupil Mentor, who plies her trade at Melbourne Vixens, was last year named the world's best netballer.
She recently underwent knee surgery but is expected to be fit for the August tournament, widely viewed as the showpiece event of the international game.
England: Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Stacey Francis, Geva Mentor, Sonia Mkoloma, Sara Bayman, Jade Clarke, Tamsin Greenway, Serena Guthrie, Pamela Cookey, Rachel Dunn, Joanne Harten, Helen Housby.
