WORLD champion Scott Mitchell clocked up five wins before exiting the England Open at the last-16 stage.
The Bransgore-based 45-year-old lost 5-4 to Surrey’s Dave Parletti at Bunn Leisure in Selsey.
Mitchell had previously defeated Ryan de Vreede (4-0), Alex Long (4-1), Chris Gower (3-0), Edward New (3-0) and Andy Turnbull (3-1).
Dorset star Mitchell also reached the last 32 of the England National Singles, which was contested at the same venue.
‘Scotty Dog’ was sunk 4-3 by Dennis Harbour having previously beaten Danny Allen (4-0), Steven Ferguson (4-3) and Josh McCarthy (4-2).
