MANAGER Steve Bendall wants rookies Jake Gosling and Matt Legg to make the most of their upcoming bouts.

Bournemouth-based Gosling, 22, defends his 100 per cent professional record against veteran Kieron Gray at the Fleming Park Leisure Centre, Southampton, on Saturday, October 18.

Legg makes his professional debut against 37-year-old Mancunian Dee Mitchell with Bendall keen for his fledglings to make an impression.

Bendall told the Daily Echo: “Matt had a solid amateur career but made the change in January and we have been going through the process of getting him ready for the step up.

“Like Jake, we have put him up against an opponent who has been on the circuit for a while and both boys should learn a lot.”

Bendall, granted his management licence in June, is keen to add to his stable. Any youngsters looking to break into professional boxing can contact him on 07855 942151 or via email: stevebendall@live.co.uk
