STRIKER Lewis Grabban has departed Cherries and signed for Norwich City on a three-year deal, with the option of a further year.
Grabban, who joined Cherries from Rotherham for £300,000 in the summer of 2012, scored 22 goals in the Championship last season, breaking Luther Blissett’s second flight scoring record for the Dean Court club.
The striker signed a fresh three-and-a-half-year deal in January having held talks with Brighton.
However, interest in the 26-year-old continued and Cherries accepted a bid from Cardiff three weeks ago, with the undisclosed offer understood to have triggered a £3million release clause in Grabban’s contract.
With a host of other sides reportedly interested, Norwich beat off competition from their transfer rivals to secure the signature of the in-demand forward.
Grabban scored 35 goals in 93 appearances during his spell at Dean Court.
The front man told Norwich’s official website: "It's good to start a new chapter, get going again with Norwich and hopefully get promotion.
"I've played here before and the atmosphere's been great and the fans are great. It's exciting to be a part of the club now and hopefully do well for them."
