HOLT United could be stripped of their FA Charter Standard status and removed from the Dorset Premier League following a brawl at the end of a league fixture in April.

The Dorset County FA today confirmed that Holt or representatives of the club had been found guilty of five misconduct charges relating to an incident after their home fixture with Hamworthy Recreation on Wednesday, April 9.

A representative of Holt was found guilty of a sixth misconduct charge in relation to the subsequent investigation with one charge against a Hamworthy Recreation player dismissed following disciplinary hearings.

Dorset Premier League rules state that: “When a club reaches/surpasses 80 (disciplinary) penalty points and/or reaches/exceeds six misconducts, the team (and subsequent affiliated club) will automatically lose their FA Charter Standard status and be unable to play in the DPL for the following season.”

It is understood that Holt had already amassed disciplinary points prior to the incident which saw police called to their Petersham Lane home.

It was established that a man had suffered chipped teeth and a fractured cheek bone in an alleged attack but no criminal charges were actioned.

The cases were heard on May 14 and appeals over any of the verdicts would have needed to be lodged with the FA within 14 days.

A representative of Holt reported that dialogue with the relevant bodies was ongoing but could not confirm whether official appeals had been submitted, while the FA said they had “no record of any appeals” from the club.

Dorset Premier League secretary Giles Kilshawe-Fall politely declined to comment with the matter still potentially subject to appeal.

I hate to tell you this but as you get old you have probably done and tried most things.
People say that Pete is aggressive.
He is an old f*rt, like me who refuse to roll over and play dead.
The quote about Holt is probably right. There are a few teams that I could mention along the same lines.
Going to Downton comes to mind, you could not make a sliding tackle (remember them?) because if you did the cow pats would slow you down. Also the bloke in the hob nailed boots would jump up in the air and land on you.
Oh, the good old days!
Go gettem Pete!

That report is wrong in the paper.
We were found guilty but ref admited In the hearing he didn't see anything because it was to dark. The Linesman gave a completely different account under questioning.
The Ham Rec player knocked two teeth out of the Holt player and attacked him before anything happened. He didn't take it further after threats from Shaun's traveller friends.
But ref missed that. He also missed the leg breaking tackle on Jason which went unpunished. Maybe you should ask DPL why game was played on a dark evening with no DPL people present after when Holt had plenty of free Saturdays to play the fixture. Also what Ham Rec Managers did to them last season by taking all of their players to Ham Rec as you reported. Yes what went on after was wrong but Shaun instigated it all. Someone who was reported for racial abuse last year and got sent off on the Sunday after the Holt Game. Also a few weeks before Ham Rec were charged and found guilty of the same offence against Cobham. As well as a years ban in the past. Ham Rec have an influence on the DPL committee. Boyd is Treasurer and Secretary of Ham Rec. Ask about the overal discipline records of Ham Re. Portland. Merley Cobham. Referees are not up to the league. It's a joke and a kangaroo court decision.
Don't report until you get the full story. I thought journalism was about getting the truth. Ask more questions pls.
If it's the same for everyone fine.

Did the leg breaking tackle actually break a leg or not then? And do you really believe that journalism is about getting to the truth? Talk about naive.

Careful with what you put Spike as you can now be charged by the FA for comments put on any social or media sites if they feel like it. Not saying you are right or wrong in your comments, just reminding you.

Downton was only one of the places, you could find your leg broke.Pennington,Woo
dfalls,Lytchett reds,896 club.Football was a lot harder then, and supporters often had a go.Despite my "aggresive nature"i was only booked once, and that was not during a game,it was for thumping someone for stealing kit.Played last game at 60.

I never, in my whole career got booked or sent off.
However, if I played today, I would have spent at least half a season on the sidelines.
The "diving" and "dying swan" performances that go on today are sickening.
I would also like to mention the spitting habit.
Back in the "good old days" when men were real men, spitting only happened when you had to rid yourself of blood or teeth that were the result of a bash in the mouth.
Now it seems that football cant be played unless there is a surface of spit to play over.

I last played at Holt about 10 years ago, the pitch was worthy of expulsion then! Has it changed? The DPL are a very odd committee though, I'd be surprised if any investigation was base purely on facts and eye witness accounts. I was once retrospectively charged for striking an opponent when I wasn't even playing, I didn't really know what to say at the hearing!
