BASHLEY skipper Richard Morris believes it would be unwise to focus on Totton & Eling’s limited form guide ahead of Saturday's clash (1pm).

Totton’s only Southern Premier League outing so far in 2014 saw the Hampshire side slump to a 10-wicket hammering at Havant a fortnight ago.

However, Morris says it is almost impossible to know what sort of opposition the top-flight’s basement outfit will present at the BCG based on that performance.

He told the Daily Echo: “We won’t read too much into what they did against Havant. It’s completely pointless looking into any results at this stage simply because no one has really played any cricket.

“It’s almost like the start of the season again and for some players, this weekend will be the first time they have played outside this year.

"It’s looking like we will be able to get the game played due to the weather and if we can get two wins from two then that will set us up well.”
