PURFLEET PROMOTER: Jon Cook
PIRATES' trip to Lakeside this evening has been postponed due to a waterlogged track.
The Elite League meeting was called off at 4.30pm after Lakeside's Davey Watt and Poole's Maciej Janowski inspected the track.
Hammers promoter Jon Cook said: “I’d like to thank our track staff for their efforts today but the track is too wet to allow us to erect the safety fences et cetera after today’s car practice.
"Both Davey and Maciej were of the view that the track was beyond recovery.”
The fixture has been rescheduled for Friday, September 5.
Poole's next meeting is away at Leicester on Monday (3pm).
