i think our entire first team ranks higher than most of those names mentioned (except matt holland). Lee Camp, Matt Ritchie, Steve Cook, Tommy Elphic, Elliot Ward, Pugh, Arter, Grabban, Fraser, Daniels all worthy of a mention.
One player from the old school list who needs a mention is Mark Stein, the most prolific goalscorer we've had since Blisset (apart from Defoe)

Still remember Derek Holmes once during the terrace days an old ( very loud) gentleman near me kept shouting out " bring on holmesy" as we were losing," come on get holmesy " etc,
In the end he trounced off the terrace muttering about the Manager and not playing Holmes!
He was brought on for the last 15 minutes and you've guessed it scored!
But let's us not forget more recent players Danny Ings and Sam Volkes.

Remember him crawling off the pitch and laying behind the goal after missing a sitter, then subbed. Not sure if he played again after that.

Strange but felt sorry for him. Does anyone else remember him crying when he was injured close to the south end during a game- he must have known that it was the end of his career and never played again.

If I remember correctly, his debut was against Stoke at DC, he got injured early on and was replaced by a young James Hayter who made his debut and scored in a 4-0 win, Hayter had been on loan at Salisbury and had been recalled on the morning of the match
