AFC Bournemouth v Liverpool: Howe happy to give Demin dream FA Cup date
Cherries’ achievements since Howe returned to the hot-seat in October 2012 have gone a long way to justifying owner Demin’s considerable investment in the club.
Howe said: “I think it is really nice for him to have this game and the national exposure. It is helping to promote the club’s name and getting people talking about Bournemouth.
“I know Max has huge Russian connections and the game will be screened there. I think that just adds to his enthusiasm to build the club further and, hopefully, that will be the case and we can continue to look forward.
"Since Max has been involved, the club has been transformed.
“We knew the pressure was on us to get through after the draw had been made and we knew the expectation levels, not just in terms of the glory, but also the financial aspect.
"The club has relied heavily on Max to pump money in and it is nice to be able to bring in some income which is not from him.”
Victory over Burton earned Cherries around £250,000, the figure boosted by £144,000 in broadcast rights for tomorrow’s clash against Liverpool, which carries another £90,000 in prize money for the victors.
Howe added: “There is always pressure from Max to win. It doesn’t matter whether we are playing Liverpool or Real Madrid, he always wants to win and is no different to me in that respect.”
