DORSET'S second-innings collapse cost the Dean Park outfit dearly as they slumped to a 71-run defeat against Cheshire.
Having already scored 379 for eight, the hosts were chasing just 239 to win the match with Jake Lintott (4-84) again among the wickets.
However, an inspirational eight-wicket haul from Danny Woods (8-62) saw Dorset dismissed for 167 as the home side somehow managed to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.
Lintott (32) was the highest scorer of a poor innings that failed to provide any meaningful partnership at the crease.
