CHERRIES have reportedly had a big-money bid rejected for ex-Dean Court striker Danny Ings.
Reports in Lancashire this morning suggested that Burnley had turned down a “formal offer” for the young frontman.
Ings, a product of the Cherries youth system, joined the Clarets in August 2011 when then Burnley boss Eddie Howe took him to Turf Moor.
And it is claimed Howe, having returned to Cherries last season, is keen to reunite with the highly-rated 21-year-old forward.
But Burnley, who bought Ings in a deal believed to be rising to £1million, rejected a bid from their new Championship rivals yesterday.
Ings, who netted seven goals in 28 Cherries appearances, has scored six times in 25 starts and 23 substitute appearances during an injury-hit spell with the Clarets.
