WIMBORNE will be hoping to pass a memorable milestone when they host Southern League Division One South & West promotion hopefuls Tiverton Town tomorrow (3pm).

Victory over sixth-placed Tivvy at Cuthbury would ensure Magpies hit their highest points total in the Southern League – with more than a third of their third season at the level remaining.

However, Wimborne boss Steve Cuss insists his men must learn from their loss at in-form Yate if they’re to prevail against Tiverton.

Cuss said: “We need to be as strong in our attacking play as we were on Tuesday and be tighter in defence.”

Magpies welcome back Jon Blake, who missed the game at Yate through suspension, while Shaun Brian, who was unavailable in midweek, looks set for a recall.

  • Poole Town could have old boy Lewis Tallack available for their crucial showdown with promotion rivals Merthyr Town (3pm).

Defender Tallack, who made eight appearances for Dolphins at the end of last season, joined up with the Nike Academy following his release by Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old has signed Southern League forms for Poole and can feature for them when his commitments with the Nike Academy permit.

Keith Emmerson is unavailable for the trip to Wales and Sam Clarke (knee) is a doubt, although striker Dan Cann has been named in the Dolphins travelling party.
