BUOYANT boss Frank Gray believes his Bashley players should be full of confidence as they go in search of completing a rare back-to-back Southern Premier Division double.

Bash will be bidding to follow up their morale-boosting 3-1 win over Kettering six days ago when they host play-off chasing Bedford Town tomorrow (3pm).

Victory over Kettering halted an eight-match winless run for Bash, a sequence which started after they had claimed three victories on the trot, including a 1-0 triumph at Bedford in November.

Gray told the Daily Echo: “Kettering was an important victory for us and the first time we had come from behind to win this season so it was good to finally get that monkey off our backs. Confidence is a factor and you could see the difference in the way we played as soon as we scored.

“The atmosphere in the dressing room is always good when you win and, after getting those late goals, the lads came back in on a high.

“We have to try to take that into the Bedford game. It is another home game and another opportunity for us to push on.”

Bash will be without Andy Jenkinson (back) while Elliot Wheeler’s loan from Portsmouth has ended and cannot be renewed.
