Barnard desperate to chip in for free-scoring Cherries (From Bournemouth Echo)

Works hard the the team, tracks back and holds the play up well.. But I'd like to see pitman back in January.

Agree with above, another free scoring striker such as Pitman next to Grabban and we will be laughing all the way to the Championship....

I agree with this. My guess is that Demouge will be given a run in the team in January when Barnard is sent back and is being lined up to be the first line replacement should injury occur to Barnard before then. I only saw Demouge in the Winchester friendly but putting to one side all the issues of fitness,Groves etc,etc, he looked very useful ; sort of Fletcher with finesse and good finish. With Grabban and Mcquoid able to switch between winger/striker positions I'm not sure there is room for Pitman, but as has been said....in Eddie we trust.

personally i would like eddie to extend barnards loan to the end of the season just for his experience of promotion,his work rate is second to none and he brings a bit extra to the team as we do have a young squad.

I think Lee is angling for a permanent move here in January and I'd like to see that happen, but not if he's expecting £12k a week! No-one in League One should be on that sort of money!
He's a talented guy though and I'm sure he will play a major part in getting us to the Championship if he signs or remains here for the season on loan.

Barnard is a work horse and does it well. He may not be scoring goals, but others are scoring off him. He also has a good attitude which is more than can be said about Pitman. In EH I trust, but we don't need a diva upsetting the team spirit.

I like Barnard for all his hard work but equally Wes Thomas when fit works as tirelessly, holds up the ball well and has the capability to score. He must be on a much smaller wedge than Lee so I think we should let him (Lee) go back with our gratitude for all the work he's done.

If Eddie was going to send Lee back, would he be playing him week in week out now ? I know we've got strikers coming out of our ears, but we have to have someone who can lead the line. Lee fulfills this role. Fletch can only now be used for a few minutes, and Stockley isn't up to it yet, in my view never will be. Demouge looks interesting, but will he ever be fit enough ? The other strikers are all of a type and can't be played together. Some of those will go at least on loan come January. We really need Lee to stay.

As for the money, remember the £12k a week came from the Echo. That's the same Echo that insisted EH return was a done deal 12 hours before AFCB even approached Burnley. And the same Echo that had Bartley coming back (perish the thought) with EH. The same Echo that's put about the Pitman story. If BP were to return, other strikers would definitely go. As for being Championship standard, we already have strikers unproved at League 1 level, so BP is at least ahead there.

If Pitman was really that good, wouldn't Eddie have signed him for Burnley?

I think that the club should be trying to get Barnard's loan extended to the end of the season, which really ought to be achievable.

EH did not sign him at Burnley, but that's in the Championship. We have to get out of this league first and don't necessarily need Championship players to do that.

Mixed feelings about BP coming back if it were ever true, but EH is probably the only manager who will get anything out of him.

It is in the terms of Barnards loan agreement that he has to play, provided he is fit. I recon he'll go back to the Scum in January.....

Wes Thomas is a very good striker and really should be given a chance soon.
He is so strong and fast, he reminds me of Drogba.

Barnard is a work horse and does it well. He may not be scoring goals, but others are scoring off him. He also has a good attitude which is more than can be said about Pitman. In EH I trust, but we don't need a diva upsetting the team spirit.

Interesting comments about Lee. True he will give you 110% effort and like afcb-mark says, he is makes space for others to score. His attitude is spot on and he is a team player. One thing in his favour is that he has played in the Championship where as Brad Pitman has yet to prove his. Your club may well keep both in which case you wouldhave imo a super sub waiting to come on in the last twenty minutes with fresh legs.
